[Bark Back!]

Cocoa mulch, which is sold by Home Depot, Foreman's Garden Supply and other garden supply stores, contains a lethal ingredient called Theobromine.  It is fatal to dogs and cats.

It smells like chocolate and really attracts dogs, who then ingest this mulch and die.  Several deaths have already occurred in the last two to three weeks.

A word of caution--check which mulch you are using in your garden and be watchful as to what your gardener is using in your garden.
